How exactly does your service work?
We EMPOWER families by giving them access to nannies and sitters in their communities through our web-based listing service.
Here is our approach:
| (1) |
A Nanny Network continually advertises for experienced Nannies and
Sitters within the local communities of The Puget Sound, online and in
print. |
| (2) |
Nannies and Sitters fill out an extensive online application and
create a Interview Profile that is available to all our site visitors. (Contact and Reference information is available upon registration.) |
| (3) |
Criminal history background screening and sexual offender registry checks are performed on each new Nanny and Sitter within 24 hours. |
| (4) |
Nanny and Sitter Profiles stay active for a maximum time of 3 months,
their profile is then automatically set to "off". Nannies and Sitters
then can re-activate their profiles again for another 3 months. By doing
this, A Nanny Network provides paid family clients with the most current
nannies available. |
| (5) |
Families looking to contact nannies and sitters can register online for
either a 2, 6, or 12 month membership. Once signed up they can directly contact nannies and sitters
that may fit their needs. |
| |
|
| |
A Nanny Network solely operates to provide parents with a list of
potential Nanny and Sitter candidates for their in-home childcare needs. |
| |
A Nanny Network is not an employment agency and is not involved
whatsoever in any interviews, meetings, or business transactions between
family clients and nanny and sitter candidates. |

We are not an employment agency and we cannot guarantee a successful match, but we can encourage you to use our listing service again in search for a better nanny candidate. Since our fees are substantially lower than agency fees, using our service for consecutive months to find that nanny or sitter match is still a more cost efficient approach. We are happy to give you advice you may need in your nanny search. Trying to stay flexible with your nanny expectations is a great way to discover a nanny match that is convenient and comfortable for both parties.

What if we find a perfect nanny or sitter fit for our family but they have a child of their own they need to bring along?
I am aware that a multitude of families are under the assumption that a nanny or sitter who brings along their own child can take away from the quality of care of their own children. However, in most cases this is a false assumption. I will tell you why: Nannies or sitters who bring along their own child to a placement can benefit the family they are working for in a couple ways:
1. They can offer your children a playmate, increasing their social skills.
2. They are more likely to keep a long-term commitment because a stronger bond will be developed between both families as the children grow and develop alongside each other.
I strongly urge parents to interview many candidates in person before making a final decision. You may just find you have a "diamond in the rough!"
